Quadrophenia is one of my least favorite Who albums. Besides, it's like me and London Calling. You're strengthing it now, and I'm knocking it back a little.

You know outside of Tommy and Who's Next The Who really aren't that great.
And Quadrophenia's just overrated.

I still like all of their material prior to Keith Moon's death, but they never were anything mindblowing.

The Queen is Dead.... To start off most people won't love it the first time they listen to it. I did though but that is because I am a Smiths fan. You really can't just quickly glance at it and then judge it. It is an album that you have to experience fully and calmly. I think the selling point with the Smiths are the lyrics and how easily all of the sounds blend together. The lyrics are absolutely perfect for someone who has gone through heartbreak. They almost seem perfect in a way. The only thing with that is Morrissey's voice is definetly an aquired taste, but once you like it, it really is an amazing voice. All of the sounds aren't cliche or over-the-top or conflicting. They all blend in together beautifully, like "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" , "I Know It's Over", or "Cemetry Gates". I can't blame someone for not "liking" it, but this album definetly deserves another listen. --------------- Also, I'm going to rate every album song by song. Yeah.  |

The only thing with that is Morrissey's voice is definetly an aquired taste, but once you like it, it really is an amazing voice. |

Quadrophenia is my favorite Who album. Bell Boy, 5:15, Real Me, Love Reign O'er Me, Dr. Jimmy, Quadrophenia, the list goes on.
