Some Tears for Fears is new wave. Like Shout for example. And Ministry's "Work of Love" is fairly new wave.

A lot of those bands really aren't New Wave, or just have somee songs that could be called New Wave, or that's not the majority of their music.
And I would disagree about it being close to perfect.
