Noise Rock falls under Alternative though I think it should be considered Punk because it comes from Post-Hardcore Typically in Rock music Drone would fall under Metal because you would basically only see it as Drone Doom Metal in Rock music.
And Alternative is just another kind of Rock music with all of it's own subgenes and such. One of it's main influences is Post-Punk, as well as New Wave.

Noise/Drone I really don't consider to be part of Metal even though it contains a lot of Metal influence. Noise just breaks into a whole different genre of music.

And I wouldn't call Noise itself music. Debatable. Personally I find music to be a squenced string of sounds used as entertainment. or it's 4'33'

I would define music as sounds with some sort of structure to them.

I define music as a series of frequencies that has melody, harmony, rhythm and dynamics

...And Justice For All is their best, in my opinion, though I prefer Master of Puppets to Ride the Lightning by a hair.
