What is your favorite Sonic Youth album between Sister and Daydream Nation?
Daydream Nation for me.
*Waits for SMAP's head to explode from trying to decide between the two albums...*

Sister is so underrated, but seriously you can't top Daydream Nation.

Yes, Daydream Nation is an album that can't be undermined.

Warning. Controversy ahead.
Daydream Nation is one of those albums. The critics pet, and one that is also victim to the "double album curse". I can see why people like it, I really can, but for it to be called better than anything post-EVOL is extremely heinous and uncalled for. To keep it simple, almost everything past "Teenage Riot" is just plain and boring. The albums itself just drags on for ages and hardly goes anywhere. From memory, it all seems to sound all... samey. It's about as pretentious as 2001: A Space Odyssey.
On the other hand, Sister has its share of flaws too, just not as much a DN. Therefore, I will chose Sister in the poll, but my favorite Sonic Youth album is either Goo or Washing Machine. In fact, Goo probably is their best.

I think most of us prefer DDN because it captures old experimental SY but matures and polishes it, although Sister and Goo do that well as well. I'm glad he voted Sister though, it's a great record and I don't want it completely sweeped.
