So... what type of music do you like? What are you're top 10 favorite bands/songs? People here really know their rock music, and there's loads of good music that they've heard of. If your looking for just anything, Remake made a similar thread a while ago.But if you want it more focused on stuff we think you would like... we gotta know what you like . Some fav bands and artists Stone Temple Pilots Nirvana The Beatles Broken Bells Matisyahu Eminem/D12 Lupe Fiasco P.O.D Petidee INFERIOR CROCIDILE ALIGATOR I DRIVE MAH CHEVROLAY TO DA THEATOR

Since you seem to like Grunge:
Mudhoney Green River Melvins The Breeders Bush Dinosaur Jr. Dover Gravel Pearl Jam's Vitalogy (Can't exactly vouch for the rest of their work however) Screaming Trees
I would also list hip-hop reccs, but frankly, you just listed some of my least favorite hip-hop artists, so I'm not gonna bother.

Common's old albums are really good too. Talib Kweli and Mos Def are pretty awesome too. (speaking of Talib Kweli and Mos Def, their Black Star collab album is amazing.)

Why is there no Nudeswirl or Mother Love Bone on that list? Or U-Men? Alice in Chains (I know you don't care for them), Soundgarden, and The Smashing Pumpkins should also be added to the list if your recommending Grunge.

Calm down, it's just a few suggestions.
And Smashing Pumpkins aren't exactly grunge, even though they are a great band.

I thought the Pumpkins were alternative rock and I thought U-Men were rockabilly.

I don't think I've actually heard U-Men.

I thought the Pumpkins were alternative rock and I thought U-Men were rockabilly. Pumpkins have stuff that is Grunge. Their other stuff is just Alternative Rock. Listen to Gish. Very grungey. Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie have their Grunge parts too. The U-Men were one of the first Grunge bands. They're Noise Rock at times too.

Oh well. I've never listened to Gish, so I wouldn't know if it was Grungey or not. (I've only heard Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie, and the 2 Teargarden by Kaleidoscope albums that are out, mind you.) Solid Action is a great album, though.

Gish was mildly Grunge-y I guess, but calling them a Grunge band is a little much.

Not primarily a Grunge band, but they have their Grunge material. Listen to Bury Me.
