Excited to be in a new environment next year, but I'm anxious to see how difficult the work is. Hopefully taking a Web Designing class from 10th-12th grade as a main part of the course will be fun and settle things down a little.

Linguistics is a very interesting field! I was hooked from the moment I started reading through my intro textbook.
Japanese isn't too bad, but I strongly recommend taking a linguistics course before or at the same time- it made the concepts much easier to grasp. I also recommend studying with a dry erase board hehe.
Zilla you'll be fine! I managed to survive with a few screw-ups (read: finished my first semester with less than 2 GPA...hence the extra semester!)

Thanks! I guess I'll find out how it is when I get there.

I will be majoring in music with a minor in english or math. I'll go to the University of Louisiana Monroe, LSU, or NSU in Natchitoches. (100 dollars that no one can pronounce Natchitoches)

JUST BOUGHT TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF TEXTBOOKS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Well... I do like languages and studying them... I'm studying two at the moment. And I did study Japanese on my own before, so I know a little; not that much though, haha. Anyway, I'm happy being a lame English major. Maybe I'll take some linguistics classes, though! That would be super fun. Where do you go, Kat? Sorry if you said it before and I didn't catch it.

hehe, I almost majored in music. What concentration?
I didn't; I go to University of Georgia.
In Japanese, it was easier for me to master vocabulary, the alphabet, and kanji when I wrote stuff on a dry erase board.

Not sure what you mean by concentration, but mainly stuff like marching or conducting if that helps at all.

I guess education, because I eventually want to direct an orchestra.

Yipee! I just found out today that I have to take a long online program about alcohol, drugs, rape, and other similar stuff. It includes boring surveys, quizzes, and incredibly corny videos. If I don't finish the first part within the next ten days, I can't register for courses in the spring and I will be disciplined. What fun!

It was almost as bad as Sonic Sez. They had this section where this student was messaging this lawyer online, and the "old guy doesn't understand basic internet slang" jokes were so unfunny that I couldn't read the important information in there. I still passed the test, though.

There was this one comic on there that I recognized from 4chan as well. Let's just say that I'm glad I got that over with.
