And of course you can like something and still think it is overrated. I like Guns 'N Roses but still think they are overrated. Just because you think something is overrated doesn't mean you don't like it. It just doesn't live up to the hype. Repeating myself here but it seems the point did not get out. You just contradicted yourself. When your contributing to the overratedness yet your saying it is overrated is stupid. Saying someone is overrated is very poor. They have in the eyes of their fans achieved that greatness. Especially in a thread like this. Your not basing thing off your own opinions your basing it on other people's opinions which I frown upon. Since it is called Band Opinion game and not The Your Opinion on Other People's Opinions game. It is a terrible word to use and I think it should stop being used. I was very mad about these things when the thread came up on RockBand. Especially when people call amazing bands that have earned that respect of their fans. Like one person said The Beatles were overrated. When John Lennon died for trying to get out his message of Peace and Love yet a man shot him. When you call someone like him overrated I have to start thinking you have no clue what you are talking about. |

If I think a band is alright, while other people live for them, am I really contributing? No. I am allowed to kinda like a band and still think they are overrated. I'm not contradicting myself. People are allowed to have their own opinions. You just have to accept it. Sure, their fans think they are awesome, but I don't. You can't think someone is stupid for thinking a famous band is overrated. They're entitled to their own opinion. You can't judge them because of it. |

It's also a matter of people have to act like asses and can't just say I don't like that band. They have to make a scene. Like I don't like Metallica either but I don't think they are overrated because I can be respectful of that band and it's fans and merely say I don't like them. |
