Generally I see mods on BOTH proboards getting somewhat angry when they see arguments. Have you guys ever been on any other forums, because on some I go to arguments are common and can start in almost any thread if you try. Most of the time it ends in an agreement/understanding.

This is true. I don't see what's wrong with logical arguing unless it gets really bad, such as that thread.
