We need to get the community back to what it was in April, May, when people all loved each other and there was no useless bickering... but how?
I think the first thing we need to do is learn some respect and empathy. Learn that there are others with differing beliefs that make sense to them. Realize that those people love you regardless of your beliefs and that even the most radical opposites can get along and even forge friendships. A lot of these pointless arguments are caused by people not being able to see the other side of the story. And a lot are caused by just a plain lack of respect.
I think we also need to grow closer. Right now I consider myself "best friends" with a few people on this forum. My goal is to achieve that kind of closeness with everyone. How? By talking. By caring about each other. By listening, by helping. By loving. And I want all of you to reach out to me as I'm going to reach out to you-- make the effort to be proactive in building and reinforcing friendships. Be hasty, not cautious, because in my experience, one well-placed, well-worded comment can seal an entire friendship.
Will you guys agree to this? I do still think the problem is LS but I don't think it's anything that they did. I think it's the lack of closeness that we have with them that causes this divide and these arguments.
tl;dr: be respectful, not insensitive. Love and grow closer to everyone. And make the effort to do so.

Beautiful post. I agree completely. I've been saying similar things for a while.

Did I miss something else? Anytime there is any sort of pointless argument I think one of the worst things to do after that is making another thread directly or indirectly addressing that. Leave pointless arguments or drama in the past. They're irrelevant and do occasionally happen. And so what? They're extremely minor incidents that don't really matter at all. Just forget about them and move on.

The thing is, I'm not referring to one specific upset, just the mentality of the site in general. I'm getting sick of it.

I agree with Soup and Wave.
No site is going to be a heaven, and if anything, I think this site has calmed down since Spring.
