So I gave LuLu a spin last night. It was great. AOTY. I am serious.

I actually think a few tracks are good, but some are just plain awful. Like Pumping Blood.

I listened to it last night, and overall, it wasn't that bad. My favorite was probably "Junior Dad."

The only truly bad part about the album were the lyrics.

LULU- LOU REED & METALLICA REVIEW TYPE THINGY I came into this album not expecting a whole lot and I got worse. We've gotten 3 absolutely disappointing releases this year. Morbid Angel's new album, Queensryche's and Metallica's. Lou Reed's bland singing style, and atrocious lyrics being backed up by Metallica's thrashy riffs does not fit AT ALL. In fact, even at some points in the album, Lou Reed sounds pretty good, but I have no idea what the fuck is going on with Metallica. Metallica could have had a lot of room for musical development but it's the same shit over and over and over again. Normally, Lou Reed would have great lyrics and vocals, but this becomes one of the most repetitive, and terrible albums I've heard. "I am the table"? What? "I'd cut off my legs and tits". WHAT?!?! I honestly wanted to shut it off halfway through.

He's had some good lyrics on Velvet Underground and his solo career, but some of these lyrics are just so bad that it's comedic gold.
