Today, all of my RB stuff went into the closet. I just don't play it as much anymore, and to have all that stuff in front of the TV is a pain to play other games. Does anybody else here find themselves just losing interest in the game? RB4 will have to be something really good for me to buy it.

I honestly haven't played a Rock Band game in months. I never bought Rock Band 3 because of its lacking setlist, and I've played guitar so much that I'm tired of it. I'd love to do drums, but the kit I have, while being an ION kit, has problems registering soft hits and turns off randomly due to static electricity.

In all honesty, Rock Band's the one video game I haven't lost interest in.

I played Rock Band 3 a few months ago. I'm thinking of playing it again, and seeing whether I should trade it in or not.

I played rock band a few days ago, but yes, I am losing interest.
I used to play it everyday during the time of rock band 2, but one day, my system froze right after beating painkiller on The Endless Setlist. After that, I stopped playing as much, and I never really got back into it, despite getting rock band 3.

I think the main cause of losing interest is having a limited amount of songs in your own personal library. Now I know that you need money to buy songs, and perhaps some of you don't have all that much to spare.
But playing the same on-disc songs (even with some DLC) is very tiresome. I rarely play on-disc songs. So I understand that Rock Band, without DLC is a limited experience.

I play more and more real guitar these days and Rock Band bores me to death.

I still play RB, but I go weeks without playing it sometimes, due to shitty DLC weeks.

I don't think I've played it in about two months.

Like the rest of the world outside of this forum, I lost interest rather quickly.

What Rob said. If you own a lot of songs, are constantly buying more, and have a wide variety of songs then that's a factor. Other factors are playing with people online every now and again and playing with other people in real life is a huge factor. Cause playing with yourself endlessly does get tiresome. Another factor is constantly switching instruments playing the same instrument for as little as an hour and a half can get tiresome. I play Rock Band every day practically all day, I have no signs of quitting any time soon, I'll support them for a long time probably.
Also all of you waiting for RB4 have a long wait ahead of you.

I agree with MM's point about swapping instruments. I normally will play some Pro Drums, some Pro Keys, some guitar etc in a session. Pro Keys is the only thing I play for a prolonged period, as it varies from chart to chart far more than the guitar chart for example, which is stuck within the 5 note charts.

Just as an aside, Rocksmith is actually really, really fun and I think Rock Band should learn from it.
