It was the 2nd episode in the first season and it was entitled "Weight Gain 4000." I didn't watch the first episode, because it was called "Cartman gets an anal probe" that sounded pretty disturbing.
I didn't find the episode funny, I thought it was stupid and had a grotesque view of comedy.

That's because that episode is awful.
The thing with South Park is that the humor is layered. There's some really horrible stuff there, but there's the genuine satire and social commentary that makes the show.

SMAP's right. There are some really funny episodes, and some that are just awful. The first that comes to mind for awfulness is the one about Oprah.

The Oprah one is great.
The show is 100% pure comedy gold between season 1 and 12. Season 13 is when things started going sour. Season 14 was pretty bad, besides a few episodes. Season 15 has been like Season 14 for the most part except for the last episode of the first half of the season and first few new episodes of the 2nd half.
And Hans if you find "Weight Gain 5000" as a grotesque view of comedy the it must be really easy to push you buttons. That episode is extremely tame.

Don't watch anything from season 1. Go to season 5 or 6. I think you'd enjoy that. Actually just watch With Apologies To Jesse Jackson. I think you'd find it funny.

I am. The earlier seasons have a lot more nonsense, which is funny, but Hans doesnt like it. So I am suggesting later seasons to him.

I've only watched four or three episodes from lolwhateverseason, and they seemed to be better than all of Family Guy that I've watched. ‹.‹ //

I'd rather watch South Park then Family Guy. Sure both shows have slowly been going down the drain, but South Park still remains the best.

I prefer Family guy over South park to be honest. Also I thought that the first season of South park was great and the new seasons are just retarded. That's my opinion though.

I say that South Park was at the height of it's peak during the 4th and 5th Season. Those were the glory years. Nowadays Family Guy is just kind of bland.
