Actually, chords are easy as fuck (like I said I know some) I just don't care to know them because I find them useless. They really aren't needed to be a great guitarist. Why not experiment and find a sound that seems good to you and you are fascinated with? And simple thinking "would this riff I just made go with this?" Heck, I made a riff of my own and guess what? At the time I didn't know chords. I've been playing for almost 8 years. I have experience and I've been doing the same thing i'm doing now. And i'm actually doing fine.
Arguing with you is like arguing with a dining room table.
Some chords? Do you have any idea how many chords there are? Yes, open E maj, G maj, and D maj are very simple. Congrats. All the music you listen to uses chords. How can they be useless? They are the foundation for almost all songs. They are need to be a good guitarist. Just playing simple notes with you fingers doesn't mean you know anything at all. Anyone is welcomed to experiment. Why is learning anything about music a bad thing? Why is music knowledge taboo? What is wrong with it? It helps anyone become a better musicain and helps anyone experiment. And you don't need to know chords to make a riff. Most of the time riffs don't use any chords. Big deal.
I have serious doubt that you are doing fine. Your stubborn as a mule and you're not going to accomplish anything because you are never going to start with any foundation whatsoever.
