Persistence of Time by Anthrax is a fairly progressive album, and is one of my favorite albums by them. It's not Progressive in the slightest... O:

Metallica is progressive? www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=4022Metallica's first four records had Progressive elements to them. Some songs of theirs are among the first Progressive Metal songs. Fade to Black, The Call of Kthulu, Orion are what could be called Progressive Thrash Metal. ...And Justice for All was their most Progressive album and has quite a few songs that could be deemed Progressive on it like the title track and To Live Is to Die.

Metallica is progressive? "...And Justice For All" is a fairly progressive album. For their standards, ...And Justice for All is certainly their most progressive album. Granted, it's not the most progressive thing out there, but it does have longer songs with more complicated song structures and some different time signatures. Definitely my favorite Metallica record.

I wouldn't ever call AJfA Prog, but it has a few elements.
Still not Prog.
