2011 is over, but the majority of it's bad music seems to still linger, and since we all now it's easier to hate new music than it is to like, what do you guys thing was the worst stuff released in 2011? (And the site needs activity, sooooooooo)
Just don't say Friday, that hardly counts.

Here's my short list of disappointing albums from good artists in 2011:
Morbid Angel - 'Illud Divinum Insanus'
To be honest, it's not as bad as the critics claim. Sure, it's not groundbreaking and there's some silly moments, but it's got some good points too. Definitely an album that death metal purists hate. Maybe it's too extreme for them.
dredg - 'Chuckles & Mr. Squeezy'
Why would such a new, talented band put out such a poppy, mechanical record that goes against all that they did before? Very disappointing, and if they keep going down this (same ol') road, that'll be the end of dredg as we know it.
Queensryche - 'Dedicated to Chaos'
Just as Queensryche was taking steps in the right direction with 'American Soldier', they decided to release a complete shitter of an album. Uninspired, and complete with several cringeworthy moments, including the single "Wot We Do" and 'Around the World", 'Dedicated to Chaos' shows us wot not to do when making an album.
And finally...
Lou Reed and Metallica - 'Lulu'
I'm sorry, but this is just awful. I didn't expect anything amazing from the odd collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica, but I surely didn't expect this stinker. The riffs and songs themselves are good at best, and repetitive and uninspired at worst, but what ruins any chance of this album of being tolerable are Lou Reed's atrocious vocals. I would cut my legs and tits off when I think of this terrible excuse for an album.

Lulu was better than I expected.
I was expecting it to be bad because I thought it was going to be a generic hard rock album, that would be defended by the same defenders of Death Magnetic. But it's bad because it's a weird mindfuck instead, which no one seemed to like, and while I don't either, the strangeness made it a better album than what would've been excepted by the average Metallica fanboy.

Yes, Crash. We are aware that you like Lulu more than Master of Puppets, as you make a point to casually mention it as soon as someone as much as breathes the name.

Nickelback and Hollywood Undead both had new albums. But what's your beef with Master of Puppets? I get it, everybody worships that one album, and you've probably heard it way too much, but it can't be that bad, can it?

I would probably say LMFAO are my least favorite group of 2011. First there was party rock anthem, with it's annoying synth, godawful lyrics, and the song was overplayed to all fuck. And then there was Sexy And I Know It which somhomw did the same thing infinitally worse and was some how JUST AS POPULAR. Pitbull's Give Me Everything Tonight is by far the worst song of the year, in my opinion though. It just does everything wrong. And, the worst part, it that unlike other pop, it actually sounds like they're trying. Go fuck yourself.

I don't think that I've heard anything bad from this year (that I've chose to listen to), and that includes Lulu. But perhaps I appreciated it more because I was familiar with Earth Spirit and Pandora's Box.
