These should be moved to January. The year isn't over yet. All awards ceremonies are always the following year. The Oscars and the Grammies don't happen the same year as the stuff they are giving awards too. Eh, it doesn't have to be. I could've sworn that some awards were just annual, not necessarily in January.

The year isn't over yet. What if something happens in this year that could easily win but the awards ceremonies are over? Just because someone suggested that we do this doesn't mean it should happen the following day. I don't think anyone award ceremony happens the same year as the stuff it's giving awards to.

So....... any reason why we went back to the old way? Icon is right too that this place hasn't even been around for a year yet. But in all honesty with the current voting procedure I do not want to vote.

But in all honesty with the current voting procedure I do not want to vote. Are you talking about the PM style? It's more efficient and organized that way. Doing the public voting style will take a longer time, and is more annoying than the PM system. With pubic voting, you can't vote on everything at once. With PMs, you can vote for everything at once with everything being secretive. I see no downside to PMs.
