They're incredible, but not the best, IMO.

But in all seriousness Led Zeppelin redefined Rock music. They were basically The Beatles of the 70s. In rock music Led Zeppelin's influence is only trumped by that of The Beatles. Also all of them are amazing musicians. Jimmy Page practically invented the use of the double-necked guitar. John Bonham is always one of the highest praised drummers. And their songs just rock like awesome socks! Don't be hatin'.

I dunno, I could never get into them, and I still think there are far more influential hard rock band. Not saying they WEREN'T important, but just not quite as much as most say.
