Pantera has some elements of thrash, but overall, I agree they aren't.

Well I guess Groove Metal is also called Post-Thrash, but it isn't Thrash still. Though early on Pantera was more Glam and Heavy Metal.
Death has very little Thrash (I guess on Scream Bloody Gore there is a little) but they're mostly Death Metal, Technical Death Metal, and Progressive Death Metal
