Well, you know. Incidentally, I forgot how... surreal it sounded, like you're listening to actual moon music, you know? Their other 10/10 albums sound like their wading through mud. After you trek through Animals give "Us and Them" a listen. You can tell that they were working like a factory after Dark Side. Incidentally (again), that live "Us and Them" from the Experience/Immersion remaster is probably the best piece of music ever recorded. It's so much better than the studio recording, and the sax sounds so awesome. I've grown to love Dark Side over the past six months or so. Even "On the Run" sounds better now after several full listens. I'd still say Wish You Were Here is Pink Floyd's best album, though I don't listen to it as much because of how much it affects me emotionally. |
