Hey, guys, I got Portal 2 today (YAY!!!) but it's not installing correctly. Everytime I try to install it it comes up with an error message that says "Unable to write to current Steam folder". I'm on an administrator account and I deactivated all the anti-virus stuff (and uninstalled some things) but it still doesn't work. Anyone know what's wrong.
And yes, I did look in technical support, I couldn't find anything.

Well, are you setting it to write to your steam folder?
Our copy worked fine.

What do you mean "setting it to write to steam folder" Is there something I need to do that I'm not aware of?

Well... does it ever ask where to install to? What directory to write to?

I'm on PC, it says it's not connected whenever I enter my game code, I know I entered it right every time.
