You only go to the classes you have. Like for me I have two hours or so between two of my classes, and in those two hours I can go do whatever as long as I show up. Though college doesn't really care if you flunk out. Teachers aren't going to yell at you if you do bad so the freedom can be really dangerous if you can't handle it.

Well, if you live on campus, you'll probably be staying there a lot. However, other than going to your scheduled classes and doing your classwork, you're free to do pretty much whatever you want. I commute to school, so for Mondays and Fridays, my mom drops me off before Spanish class, I have a one hour break after the class, I go to English class, and then I'm done for the day. Most classes are Monday-Wednesday-Friday or Tuesday-Thursday, with some exceptions (like my Spanish class), so you'll probably go to 2-3 classes a day depending on your schedule.

College is like high school except sometimes you live at the school and you only sometimes go to classes once or twice a week, but the classes are longer and you have fewer assignments, and instead of being spoon-fed information you have to use critical thinking and write a lot and such. I don't know how colleges in America and Wales would differ though, or even if they would at all. Also, do you guys adopt Great Britain's school levels/system or do you have your own? How does the UK's school system even work-- it's based on years, right? Like Fifth Year and such? Okay, so... Longer classes - I think I'd hate that... an hour's long enough for me ahaha, I have a very bad attention span Once or twice a week - so makes up for the long classes Fewer assignments - I suppose that'd depend where you're coming from... I'm in my final year of secondary and we only get "assignments" for coursework preparation, everything we do is in class (I'm assuming assignments are homework-things) Spoons and critical thinking - that bit confuses me but it sounds positive so And we have the UK's school year system, with reception to year 6 in primary school, year 7 to year 11 in secondary school, and either years 12/13 in school, for sixth form, or people in those years go to college, if that makes sense... To be honest I don't know how the American system works, so everything could be completely different ^.^

Wait, do the years correspond to the age of the kid attending?? Yep! Pre-school nursery is for anyone under 3, or people with awkward birthdays so they are in the year at a different time... Nursery is 3-4 Reception is 4-5 Year 1 is 5-6 Year 2 is 6-7 etc etc... So year 7 (secondary school) is 11-12, and secondary school finishes with year 11 (15-16). Year 12's can either go to sixth form (in school) or college, and they can start at 16... and then they have two years at either school or college. ^.^ (I think I typed that in a confusing way but you should get the idea eheheh)

And then we have Grade 1, Grade 2, ect, which roughly correlates to your Years I guess??? Grades 1-5 are Elementary School Grades 6-8 are Middle School Grades 9-12 are High School, then after that is college. And that's just called college, hehe. The whole sixth form thing/12th year sounds sort of confusing but we seem to both start college at 18 or so.

Posting from UW-Madison OMG ballinnnn Also, I got accepted into the UB Choir today! While I can't say it's as cool as my high school's music department, it's still very enjoyable, and the conductor is a very nice man as well.
