Should games be played in the order on the queue?

Ok, so do you guys think games should run in the order of the first to get full sign-ups, or the first one that was added to the queue?

I voted yes, then realized that that wasn't exactly what I meant.

If a game fills it's sign ups, it shouldn't have to wait for a game that was created earlier before it can go. But I feel like we should only have, like, 3 or 4 sign up threads at a time.

On my site, what we do is have the filled up games go to a separate queue, "On-Deck", and those are in the order they were created. I think it works fine, except for when the host goes missing and we have to skip them.

My only real problem with the way your site does it Ernie, is that you have sign ups way before the game actually starts. It's not a huge deal, but it's hard to know whether you'll have time to play a game 6-9 months from the time you sign up (part of the reason why you guys always have to have people replace once the game actually starts).

But yeah, it should generally go in the order that the sign ups were made. My only point before was that if a game that was created later has full sign ups, and it's the only game that has full sign ups, it shouldn't have to wait for a game that was created earlier that doesn't have full sign ups.

Yeah, that's true. I guess I just need to stop allowing so many to start so it can catch up.
