Because we needed a thread for this.
The last movie I've seen was Daria: Is It College Yet? during this all-night knitting bender and I can't really discuss it all that much because no one here watches Daria WHICH IS A TRAVESTY but it's pretty damn perfect for a second TV movie and wraps up the series fantastically.
Continue forth in my example, chilluns.

I've always though the Random Thoughts and Ideas: Movies and TV Edition sufficed for this purpose.

The last movie I saw was Alien (thanks Alex!), and it was a great film. Despite being a bit dated, it was great at building suspense, and it scared me a bit. I may watch the sequel sometime, though I'll probably watch some other movies first.

Thoughts on Milk, the last movie I've seen: Really, really great. I'd suggest that everyone see it, especially if you're interested in the gay rights movement. Some spoilers ahead. -Most movies about a single person tend to be uplifting in a sense that eventually fades into the background, but I didn't find that in Milk as much. The whole fact that it's set in a time when homosexuals didn't have rights and still aren't completely equal now lends an echo to the movie that's slightly sad. The scene where Milk finds the dead body of his lover in his house and partially implicates himself for it was particularly jarring and told us he was just a person. Oh, and his relationship with Scott also wasn't uplifting and told us that he wasn't perfect. -Loved the integration of found footage into the movie. Hell, even the way it was filmed in the present was great, with the grainy aftereffect and all. -Anne and Cleve were the best. -Wheelchair Boy and his correspondence with Milk was tear-jerking with how it was resolved in the end. Even a touch horrifying with his circumstance and the fact that he was paralyzed.

Peeping Tom.
Decent film. Number 36 or something on IMDB's top horror films.

The last film I saw was A Clockwork Orange. I don't understand the bad vibe that surrounds it, it really wasn't that bad, content-wise. Overall I thought it was pretty badly executed, to be honest; the idea's cool though, so I prefer the book. I don't get why everyone in my family is all like, "NO YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE 18 TO WATCH THIS IT'S A VERY HORRIFIC FILM DON'T WATCH IT!!" Even the second Human Centipede and A Serbian Film are worse than A Clockwork Orange, and they're pretty pathetic too. Disappointed.
