I am making more threads tonight than I make in like, three months, heh. Anyway, we should have a homework thread, because we're all good at different stuff here and all together we probably make up a few Yale graduates. Post problems or discussions or even complain about how much homework you get from those sniveling, unionised old coots!

There could not have been a more perfect time for the creation of this thread!
As I'm typing this, I'm taking a brief break from my incredibly difficult Research Project Proposal for my English 102 class. I wrote a draft for it last weekend, but after getting advice from my professor, I decided to do the entire thing over. Sadly, I've been so busy this week that I just got started on this tonight, and it's due tomorrow.
My topic initially was trying to analyze what the philosophers we studied this year (Plato, Descartes, Montaigne, and Zizek) would think of the internet. However, I've now decided to focus on the issues of anonymity and identity that result from the internet, providing some historical context from Descartes and Borges as well as looking at some other modern books about these subjects. The paper's not due until the end of the semester, but I need a 2-4 page proposal by tomorrow and I'm only at one page so far. Wish me luck! I could possibly pull an all-nighter because of this monster of a task.

That's actually a really cool idea though, that you're focusing on something so relevant to the Internet, something that wasn't really prevalent back in their time. I have an English paper due too, heh. We don't have to do a proposal or anything, thankfully. The professor said he would give me extra time too because I picked a tough poem to analyze! Yay. Japanese homework is really fun right now--we're doing skits and my characters is going to be Sailor Moon-san, who is going to Tokyo today to fight monsters and drink the blood of her enemies.
I have this overarching math project that's sort of a pain though. >_> It's on stats and stuff. Zilla, you've already done the survey thing. But my results don't correlate? By that I mean there's not a lot of negative/positive correlation. I know that my grade won't depend on that but actually if my math is correct, but it still irks me.

Thanks! I'm trying to develop the idea now, though it's really tough at the moment. I'm hoping my professor is pretty lenient considering this is just a proposal. Other than this, I've been doing very well in his class, getting A's and B's.
And omggggggggg we're doing skits in my Spanish class too! Mine is going to be about the worst birthday party ever, where a house is lit on fire, someone starts vomiting, Justin Bieber shows up, and the Street Sharks attack and kill everybody. Fun!
Good luck on your math project! The variables (which I assume are music library size and daily time spent listening to music) seem like something that could logically correlate, but won't do so in every case. I'm certain you'll do fine, as long as your math is good.
