I think I'm gonna listen to this tonight. My friend Zac said it was disappointing, but I'll hear how it is.

it wasn't as good as i expected, but it's different and there's some influences from death grips and clipping in some of the songs it opens with my least favorite track though, and there are some really cringe-worthy moments (Then she came like AAAAAHHH!)

I must agree! I've only listened to MBDTF and now Yeezus, and I prefer the former, despite the new things Yeezus has to offer. The opener was pretty lame and disjointed, and some of Kanye's lyrics are awful too.

Yeezus by Kanye West"I just talked to Jesus He said, 'waddup, Yeezus?'" On Sight - An awkward start for the album. The production on this and the next 3 tracks are by Daft Punk, and they're certainly interesting. As far as lyrics go, this feels uninspired and the verses aren't catchy enough to make up for it. One thing I did enjoy was the sample of Holy Name of Mary Choral Family, and the possible shout-out to his last collaboration with Daft Punk, "Stronger". "I need ya right now". Black Skinhead - The SNL performance with the screams was much superior and I feel as though he did it differently in studio to make us want to go see the better version live. I do, however, enjoy the drums and rawness in this one. It's definitely a stronger track. I Am A God - I find the intro, hook, samples, and beats absolutely great. Kanye's rapping is pretty dang catchy, and there's some lines that are just so horrible that they're hilarious. "HURRY UP WITH MUH DAMN CROISSANTS". Kanye's live screams were just as good as they were on here, so all in all, there's no complaints as far as this one goes. New Slaves - The last song before this album goes completely downhill, and one of the few tracks that doesn't have terrible lyrics. I quite like the message behind it, and the rap flow and structure reminds me a lot of Death Grips (that's a good thing). The end of the song is incredibly out of place and ruins an otherwise great track, unfortunately. Hold My Liquor - I have to give Kanye kudos here for using Chief Keef in a completely different way than any other artist would. There's some good backgrounds and Bon Iver's featuring is alright, but this really feels like filler. It drags on too long while not offering anything new to draw the listener in. I'm In It - The Rastafarian voices in this one are laughable and the lyrics are some of the worst on the record. "Eatin' Asian pussy, all I need was sweet and sour sauce". The second half without the moan samples isn't nearly as bad, but it's definitely one of the weakest tracks on the album. Nowhere near as bad of a sex rap as Lil Wayne's, "Pussy Monster". Blood On The Leaves - The sampling on this is utilized well at first, but does become rather annoying. At some points it feels as if Kanye was just hitting the autotune button and messing around with any noises he could get without actually removing it from the final mix. Like the rest of the songs on this album, the better parts are when Kanye isn't using vocal effects. It suffers from what the last two tracks do, and that's the fact that it's incredibly unmemorable. Guilt Trip - My absolute favorite song here. Unlike "Blood On The Leaves", the autotune and synthesizer on this is really good and reminds me of 808s and Heartbreak. The violin and piano accompanied by Kid Cudi's featuring is incredible and creates a nice breakdown for a great song. There's some pretty bad lines like "Star Wars fur, yeah I'm rockin' Chewbacca", but the instrumentals on this are enough of a distraction to keep me happy. Send It Up - The worst song on the album and definitely one of the worst Kanye tracks ever produced. The beats and backgrounds on this one are INCREDIBLY obnoxious and the hook is just plain annoying. "We can send this bitch up, it can't go down". Unlike "I'm In It", the Rastafarian voices aren't even charming and I feel as if this completely ruined the mood created by the previous track. Needless to say, I don't see myself ever revisiting this. Bound 2 - Totally polarizing to the dark and gritty feeling to the rest of the album. I do have to say, it sounds like old Kanye West and shows that he's still in there somewhere, but the sampling interrupts the beats and ruins the song for me. An abrupt and awful way to end the album. "UH-HUH HONEY". Overall, a 7/10. Kanye will never make anything as good as MBDTF ever again.

smap if you don't like kanye you're wront mannn he's got a SWEET body
so this is a good album, I think? Blood on the Leaves is one of Kanye's best songs ever. (new slaves is really good too!!) but I'm In It is maybe the worst?
There's so many weird lines just in that song alone "Your titties, let 'em out, free at last, thank God almighty, they free at last" "Put my fist in her like a civil rights sign" "Uh, I be speaking Swaghili" what is kanye trying to do with words on this album wtf
but even then the music is still crazy cool and alll of the songs still have really cool moments.
so yeah it's good. but it's just not nearly as defined, grandiose, or breathtaking as MBDTF. It just doesn't feel quite as complete. it's not as thematic or dramatic and doesn't seem to have any statements across all of itself like mbdtf did. sooo I really like a lot of it, but it's definitely nooowhere near mbdtf.

I don't understand the Death Grips comparison, I only hear it on 2 or so songs and it's not very noticable. Not all experimental hip hop is Death Grips.
Also, Rick Rubin confirmed Kanye wrote half the lyrics in 2 hours and that it's rushed as hell.
