Well, here it is! The PS4 comes out in North America in a few hours. I'm not getting one for a little while, since there aren't a lot of games yet, but it'll probably be my console of choice for the next generation. (My brother has a Wii U.) Games like Watch Dogs and The Crew will certainly make me get one. Anybody planning on getting the PS4 anytime soon? Or, are y'all sticking with the current generation for a while (like me) or getting an Xbox One instead?  BALLINNNNN'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111 |

Yup! It'll be out on the East Coast in less than an hour! They wanted to be sure the console was out before Black Friday and stuff. Otherwise, every store would be absolute chaos on midnight Black Friday, with all the late night shoppers combined with the PS4 people.

Nope. It will be coming out next Friday, the Friday before Black Friday. Probably the same reasoning.
Also, reviews are in on the exclusive launch titles PS4 is getting. Resogun, a side-scrolling shoot 'em up, is getting rave reviews in the 8-9 out of 10 range. It's also free for all PlayStation Plus members who get a PS4. Killzone: Shadow Fall is doing well, getting 7-8 with most criticism going towards the story and AI. Knack is bombing, though, with reviews between 5-6 saying that its gameplay is nothing special. It's a shame, because that looked like a cool new IP that could have pushed the console ahead.

True. I'll definitely play it before I gather an opinion on it, though it could be a while. Maybe it'll be free on PlayStation Plus someday.

After playing for two hours on a friend's PS4 I can officially confirm Knack is a great game and the critics simply hate platformers not named Mario, this is definitely a game I'll be picking up when I get my own PS4

Knack? More like... shit I should probably play it, though. It could be really great! After all, the critics were also really hating on Sonic Lost World as well, another non-Mario platformer. |
