Good evening fellow RBO forum goers. I have called for this special bulletin to address a certain issue. I understand that some may not like my response here but I feel I should say. I would like to announce my retirement from mafia. I feel that I can not adequately play anymore because I feel that playing mafia has lost it's touch and is no longer as fun as it used to be.
I would now like to take this moment to apologize to my good friends whom I played many games with. I would also like to apologize to the hosts of the games I was in and to the ones I was signed up for.
Though one chapter is closing for me I feel that another one is beginning. Though I feel that playing mafia has lost it's touche I feel that hosting mafia games could be a new exciting opportunity for the RBO community and for me as well. Unfortunately my current ideas are both very large games and thus would have to be played on TWC or a similar site.

Taking a break is fine. I'd try to finish up the games you're in though.
To be honest, I've been getting the feeling from a lot of people that they're somewhat tired of mafia. The player base here is already pretty strained, with only about 12ish people being actively in mafia games.
What do you guys say to just retiring the whole "mafia" part of this site? Most of us that enjoy mafia play on other sites anyway, whether it's TWC, CFC, or Ernie's site (I know Ernie's site could use some more players). I enjoy playing here, but I do feel like I'm signing up for games a lot of the time just because we need more players.
I guess the benefit of having our own site is that the queue to make a game is pretty short compared to other sites. But the cost is that we can't make games that are larger than 12 people without there being some inactives.
We can still keep the site around for random chat and stuff, and maybe the occasional (small) mafia game, but it's at the point where I feel like a lot of us are going through the motions to keep the site alive, when we could have better games if we just played on other sites. And we wouldn't have to feel bad about not joining a game, because there would be plenty more people that are willing to join.
...but I dunno, maybe I'm the only one that feels that way.

We could still play with eachother on other sites. I'm sure they would welcome some new players.
If musical mafia has to have more than 12 or 13 players, you guys aren't going to be able to host it here anyway, so that point is sorta moot.

I wouldn't mind making bigger games. I felt very limited on Spongebob. I think I'm also going to be limited on The Last Airbender mafia if I do it here.
