Yeah, I grabbed the song from that album. I forgot which song it was, though.

John Cage: Genre: Avant Garde Oh what can I say about John Cage that hasn't already been said. If you haven't actually heard of him he was a completely out of the ordinary composer. In 1952 he created 4?33?, a piece that is just silence. Sure, not his most fun to listen to work, but it makes you think. Of course, not all of his "music" was like that. He twisted the very definition of music, with very odd pieces. This write-up doesn't really do him justice. He has to be heard to be believed. Thank you Milk and Sora. And now for the polar opposite of John Cage: Andrew W.K.: Genre: Punk rock, dance-punk, hard rock, heavy metal Oh Andy. His simple, yet ferociously catchy and fun "heavy punk" is just hard to resist. Many have tried similar style, but none rock as hard. All of his albums are great, but his debut, I Get Wet, is timeless. Plus he seems like a genuinely nice guy, and he has really fun concerts. He does things the fun way: rock. I Love Andrew W.K, his music is awesome, and he is hilarious, my friend went to warped tour and went to his signing, he had no cd or poster so Andrew W.K signed his cell-phone. The episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force he was on was priceless.

Short hiatus BEGONE Sonic Youth: Genre: Alternative rock, noise rock, experimental rock, no wave You knew it was coming. Their early pre-Daydream Nation albums are really fascinating albums, due to their chaotic sound. The best is when it gets close to noise. Since then they've had wonders of distorted instruments and haunting vocals, making them one of the best alternative bands ever. They've gotten milder since Murray Street, but they still make some pretty great music. And Kim Gordon is hot as hell. Sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbBT0dftZKA

This thread needs to be bumped (unless he made something similar. Not sure, since I'm still looking through the threads...)
Anyways, SMAP man, you should really check out In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend by Reverend Bizarre, if you haven't heard of it before. Some really good doom metal...

Anyways, SMAP man, you should really check out In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend by Reverend Bizarre, if you haven't heard of it before. Some really good doom metal... Way too busy and uninterested to do shit like this anymore, besides no one really posted... >_> I listened to it once a while back and remembered digging it, probably should give it another spin.
