I'm gonna start from the bottom and work my way up. Okay I'll kick this off. Van Der Graff Generator. I think they should go.

I like VDGG, I just don't think it's top 100.

Have you guys actually listened to them?
They're good, and I still think they're more deserving than most that will probably make the list, but I think they're bested by King Crimson in terms of similar bands. I'm not opposed to them making the list, but they should be at a very low spot if so. Edit: Okay, Wave's listened to them.

I don't think they have done anything for music. I've never heard any band that says. "Yeah Van Der Graff Generator influenced us". Nor have they brought anything innovative to the music world.

They're pretty influential in prog dude..
It's not necessarily direct influence, but I can hear a bit of them in modern prog. And they definitely did some pretty interesting music, which a lot of it was pretty creative. They don't have to make it though.

Ok, the first artists I think should go (opinion)
Genesis: There is no artist more boring than them. Absolutely nothing interesting happens in their music at all. Marilyn Manson: He's only popular because of sheer schock value. Styx: Overly generic and definantly do not deserve to be on a top 100 artists of all-time list.

Let's only add artists that most agree with.
