There's no need to weed out the "bad" ones unless someone suggests a "bad" one. My way: we decide who makes which spot one spot at a time. Gary's way: Make a list of 100, and then order it.

Well, most of them aren't really BAD, but this way we get rid of the worst and only the 100 best are nominatable. That way, even if our order is off a bit, we still have the top artists without accidently leaving a few off.

Our goal is not to finish this fast. We should take our time and make sure that it's the best list we can make.

Our goal is not to finish this fast. We should take our time and make sure that it's the best list we can make. If we do Gary's way we get as he said the 100% 100 best and regardless if they are in the proper order they will still be the 100 best.

Both ways work, but I think mine is just a bit more thorough <_> This way we still pretty much do your thing but narrow it down to 100 artists first so we don't throw away a bunch of artists at the end. This way the 100 are the 100 we DEFINANTLY want. Just ordering them doesn't let us discuss the other artists we throw away at all and just instantly throw them away.

For each spot we fill in, we will put the best artist left on our list. After doing that for 100 spots we will reach the 100% best as well. So really we are doing the same thing in the end (kinda). I'd like to see what everyone else thinks.

I agree with Gary's way more. The other way is too tedious, IMO.

Yeah but still the feeling will be there that were leaving something out and if only say 3 people are nominating then we will definitely be leaving out good artists at the end.

So, first we narrow it down to 100 and THEN we order the artists. It'll make ordering faster also.

Good point Gary. I'm fine with your way, I'm just more fine with my way lol. Although I think by going "_____ artist isn't good enough/sucks" could make a flame war. I seriously doubt it will make a flame war and anyone that does try to make a flame war or think it's even a flame war is extremely childish as this is supposed to be a debate and there is going to be arguing it's not directly attacking somebody so I don't consider it flaming.
