Of course. WHY, WHY, WHY? I WISH I WERE STONED OUT OF MY MIND! WHY, WHY, WHY, OH WHY? I dig 'em. I need to delve deeper into the Canterbury Scene though. I've only really listened to Caravan, Soft Machine and Gong. They're all great, so I need I think I need to get more acquainted with Matching Mole, Hatfield & the North and Khan and the like still.

Shine On just doesn't convey the same feelings of epicness and space travel (2001 anyone?). To me at least. I'd order Floyd epics this way:
1. Echoes 2. Atom Heart Mother 3. Dogs 4. Shine on You Crazy Diamond

Shine on You Crazy Diamond True, Shine On You Crazy Diamond is definitely not as spacey as Echoes, but Shine On expresses so much emotion. I'd argue that the intro guitar and keyboard solos are some of the best music ever recorded. I'd say that the entirety of Wish You Were Here is perfect. Granted, all four of those epics are really great. I'd rank them like this: 1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 2. Dogs 3. Echoes 4. Atom Heart Mother

I am finding it increasingly difficult to listen to pre-2000's music, with a few exceptions. I wonder what the deal is.
NP: Neon Bible

1. Echoes 2. Dogs 3. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 4. Atom Heart Mother
Echoes and Dogs are actually my favorite non-Syd era Floyd songs respectively.

D: Anyway, haven't seen you in a while, how have you been? Pretty good, thanks. I haven't been around because life/I thought this place was (completely) dead. I gave the forum a hopeful final glance, and there was moderate discussion so I figured why not say something. It beats the anonymity and general jerkishness of /mu/, though I don't mind the jerkishness.

There isn't nearly as much traffic as there used to be, but we still poke our heads in to chat with whoever is left. Also, I've probably said this before, and I'll say it again, but screw the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Yes and Deep Purple snubbed again. I could care less about Kiss and Hall & Oates; everyone else who got in at least deserves to get in at some point (especially Peter Gabriel and Cat Stevens), but the Hall once again proves they hate prog and hard rock/metal. Kiss is hard rock sure, but they were more commercially successful than Deep Purple, and everyone knows that the Hall loves the $$. Hopefully Deep Purple and Yes get in next year. I think six normally get in, so here's hoping that it ends up being: 1. Yes 2. Deep Purple 3. Joy Division 4. Judas Priest 5. King Crimson 6. Can But that probably won't happen... :/ EDIT: Actually they let in between 6-12, so I'll just add a few... 7. The Fall 8. Grant Green 9. Link Wray 10. T. Rex 11. Jethro Tull 12. Rainbow But yeah... not gonna happen.
