I could care less about any other show they do.

Wow, Drunken Lullabies is a totally dope album. The title track is probally the worst song on it.

Never been to big on Flogging Molly. Or celtic punk in general, actually.
Why is it that nearly every 90's alt band (save Dinosaur Jr and Flaming Lips, I guess) has gotten considerably worse since around '02. I mean being old isn't an excuse, Scorpions and Neil Young still make awesome albums.
I mean what went wrong with Modest Mouse? Third Eye Blind? Pearl Jam? Better Than Ezra? Counting Crows? Jimmy Eat World? Hell, even Weezer?

I think that all Weezer albums are pretty good. D:
Anyway, don't you hate it when people who have crap tastes criticize you for listening to awesome music? And I mean, not just one or two bands because that can be understandable, but I mean the whole of your taste. My dad does that. Not to be hypocritical, but he listens to Top 40 stuff and all of that. Basically, as bad as it can get (I am NOT cynical, by the way). And pokes fun at ME for listening to Sonic Youth and the Pixies and all of that. His other son is the exact same way. You have no idea how many times I've had to suffer through "The Real Slim Shady" and other shit. You have NO IDEA.

Weezer's actually my favorite band, but I rarely can trudge through Make Believe, Raditude, or Death to False Metal... I hate that too. I know a kid who listens to nothing but top 40 pop, and more generic classic rock, and he criticizes me when I listen to The Cure, The Mountain Goats, and Pixies. He said Dynamite is one of the greatest songs ever made for Christ's sake.

Granted, my dad doesn't like Sonic Youth or the Pixies either, but he likes about 95% of the music I like. Does your dad listen to the Rolling Stones or Queen, or is his music taste THAT bad?

My dad is alright with his music taste. Anything that's heavier than say, Led Zeppelin won't go well with him. And he hates Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac. He's such an old-timer though. He listens to Frank Sinatra, Polka, and Disco. Granted I like all of them too.

No. He really is that bad. He even tries to rap/sing along with the songs. And he doesn't like the Stones or Queen or anything like that.

Everybody has different tastes... Believe it or not, you guys are actually criticizing what they think is awesome music. Everyone is different. Plus, just because you listen to bands the general public doesn't know about, doesn't make you better than them. You shouldn't hate on bands because they're popular. Give them a chance. That's why I always say "Music: If it sounds good, listen to it!". I'm not afraid to say that I like Blink-182, Katy Perry, Adele, The Script, and Linkin Park. I'm also not afraid to say I like The Main Drag, Aviatic, Children of Nova, The Icarus Account, and Goose. People just like different stuff. But yeah, people should expand their tastes. But don't hate on them because of their ignorance, build off it.
/rant
But srsly. By the way, sorry if it seemed like I lumped you guys into the group of typically internet music haters. I didn't mean to.

However, my dad is into heavy stuff as well: he loves Devin Townsend's 'Deconstruction', also really likes Between the Buried and Me, Children of Bodom, and Arch Enemy and has had Pantera, Slayer, Chimaira, Cannibal Corpse and Carcass in his music collection for a while (though he doesn't listen to the latter two much).
