I just tend to think that you're judging these albums differently because they're new. This times a gazillion! It's not just SMAP (not saying you do this all the time), but practically everyone (not everyone here) gives good music a lower grade because it's new. New music can still be amazing! If it sounds good, listen to it! |

But Black Clouds and Silver Linings is one of the most bland prog albums I've ever heard. And Death Magnetic was just cringe-worthy and generic. I don't know... I thought that "The Count of Tuscany" and "The Best of Times" were just incredible, and the rest of the songs are really good too. Sure, Awake is probably the best Dream Theater album, at least in my opinion, but BCaSL isn't bad by any means. And I swear, if the songs off of Death Magnetic were recorded during the 80's, you'd probably like them and wouldn't be saying that. I just tend to think that you're judging these albums differently because they're new. But the 2000's is my favorite decade in music! D: |

Well, Zilla technically is older than me and if I was less familiar with him, I would certainly use -san. And -kun, too would be permissible. But we're close enough friends that I can be cute and use -chan, and I was being kinda goofy anyway. |
