I made this on Lavender Syndrome but I mine as well see what this forum has to say too. Just post opinions you have of certain bands or musical groups that people normally wouldn't agree with.
I find Radiohead and Weezer extremely overrated
The Beatles are one of the most overrated bands of all time(they're really good though)
Chinese Democracy is a great album
Avenged Sevenfold are good
Disturbed, Slipknot, Linkin Park and most Nu-Metal bands don't nearly deserve all the hate they get
Master of Puppets is Metallica's worst album
St. Anger and Risk by Metallica and Megadeth aren't bad at all
Reign in Blood is one of the worst Slayer albums
Pink Floyd is overrated (but also very good)

I find Weezer extremely overrated The Blue Album and Pinkerton are awesome. Maladroit and Green are meh. The rest suck. *shot by SMAP* I don't blame you. Your opinions should be safe in this thread seeing as how you're not suppose to agree with a lot of the things in this thread, right? Ozzy's solo career > Sabbath Good bands are generally popular. That's why they are popular, because they're good. |

The Jonas Brothers don't deserve all the hate they get (I like them)
A7x is great
Lady Gaga is good
I don't like Jefferson Airplane
Katy Perry is overrated
That's all I can think of atm

I think a lot of people don't like her because they mix her in with the rest of today's pop music when I find her a lot "better" than that. She actually writes her own music and I believe mastered in Classical Piano. I can respect her and her music for that and don't see her as just another pop artist.

Daliah by X Japan was just okay.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor is supposed to be the cool post-rock band to like, but their songs are REALLY FUCKING LONG and to be honest, a bit boring sometimes. Not saying it's bad, but I'd rather listen to something on the prog side for seventeen minutes than post-rock.
You know the post-punk metalcore songs with no real coherence? Like, it's like a collection of various single 45-second screams mashed together for five minutes, with different melodies? HATE THAT.
Oh god I'm going to be shot again.
I am really liking a few Skrillex songs atm.

Art of Life is a great (yet really long) song that has some of X Japan's best moments (though I'm not a fan of the piano solo), and Blue Blood is considered by many to be a classic album of theirs. Both of those consist mainly of faster stuff that you may enjoy more. |
