That's true. I find it funny that people believe any religion. Talking snakes and sitting under a tree for years and years are also ridiculous. Not every Christian or Jew believes in the literal interpretation of the Bible/Torah. Some believe that a lot of the stuff in Genesis are more like stories, to teach some sort of value, rather than literal truth. |

Frankly I've never been able to understand how many Christians take the Bible literally. I mean a huge flood that covered up the tallest mountains? That's not even possible even if all the ice caps completely melted. That the earth is 6000 years old? The furthest thing that scientist have seen in the universe was a gamma ray burst 13.7 billion light years away. So we know the universe is at least 13.7 billion years old and very rocks have dated the earth back to 4.6 billion years old (with the U-238 isotope I believe). But of course they won't believe things like that. I'm glad there are other rational thinkers here besides me.

Well there are some kinds of bacteria that can resist anti-biotics. They eventually develop a resistance to what ever antibiotic is used to treat them. It's similar to how there's a new strain of the flu every year (though viruses are different then bacteria).

That's what all the scientist propagandists tell me (actually they tell me that the antibiotics kill off the weaker bacteria, and the ones that don't die reproduce, making more resistant bacteria).
