Nirvana were The Beatles of the 90's, I don't see why they don't get a shot at no1

That is 179 artists. Now, we will go one placement at a time. Everyone can say up to 2 artists that they feelcan make the position. We will discuss it and figure out who goes where, starting with 1 all the way down to 100. I nominate The Beatles for spot 1. (Obviously) Who agrees/disagrees and why? I think we should get narrow it down to 100 artists THEN order them.

John Cage
This man just cared about music. Consistently innovative, anyone who's listened to anything he's composed can tell you that. Like his music or not, it doesn't matter. The sheer controversy something like this:
can create is truly astounding.
He may not be the most well-known, but damn is this man important for changing everything we know about "music".

I think we should justmake the 100 and then the 82 artists thatare left didn'tmake it. I think it's easier this way.

I concur we have to this in a reasonable fashion though that a majority agrees to get rid of that one artist. How many contributed like 10-12? So the majority should be 5-6? I have a feeling this is going to be the most posted in thread in a bit.

We discuss who should be number 1, and then 2, then 3, then 4, .etc.

If we eliminate until we get to 100 we have to use only those 100. I want to make sure we do this right.

We weed out the bad ones first so then we're sure we don't leave out of the good stuff. If we get rid of the bad ones first THEN decide on teh good ones we make sure that the 100 artists are the 100 we want.

Exactly that's why I said we should have the majority which is like 5 or 6 should all agree to get rid of one artist.
